Lulu! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. So - what do you do at Raw Power Games?
I am the Art Director of RPG, and I have the privilege of working with a group of incredibly talented artists to bring the visual world of our game to life.
What is it like working at RPG?
Working at RPG is a unique and exciting experience! The company embodies the energy, innovation, and ambitious vision of a startup while being backed by a mature, highly experienced, and capable team with strong execution skills.
So if you could - how would you describe our company culture?
Three points that RGP is doing exceptionally well:
Autonomy – We ensure that everyone's voice is heard and valued.
Pragmatism – We focus on practical, efficient solutions and a results-driven approach to how we operate.
Empathy – The company genuinely cares about the well-being of its employees, and everyone working here appreciates the supportive work environment the company has built.
Let’s talk about what we can’t talk that much about… yet ;) What excites you most about the project?
I am a historical strategy and RPG gamer myself, with a deep enthusiasm for medieval European history. The game we are creating is a historical strategy and RPG hybrid, and it’s exactly the kind of project I would be eager to play once it's finished.
Both our quality standards and the technology we are using are exceptionally high. It’s safe to say that this is truly my dream project.
What is your favorite part of working as an Art Director?
We have a great hiring process that ensures we bring in the best matches for our project. All our artists are senior professionals with impressive skills and extensive AAA game experience. As an Art Director, I have full confidence in their ability to grasp and execute the visual direction I set.
Beyond that, the team is proactive—they actively identify and solve problems without needing constant direction.
What truly stands out is the team’s humility and professionalism. Despite their impressive credentials, I’ve never seen anyone show off or act self-centered. It’s a genuinely empathetic, mature, and sensible team—perfect for tackling challenges and delivering exceptional products.
Working remotely is a big thing here at RPG - How has it been working remote for you?
RPG truly trusts its employees and grants us autonomy. Many of our senior developers have families to take care of or sometimes need to handle emergencies during a workday, requiring them to be absent for a few hours.
On the other hand, the team members cherish the trust the company places in us. When we need time off, we ensure that our responsibilities are still met, maintaining a high standard of accountability.
One of the challenges of working remotely is the lack of engagement and sense of belonging, but our quarterly on-site gatherings and tailored individual team-building events have greatly helped compensate for this.
RPG truly sets a great example of how to keep remote employees engaged and productive.
What does work-life balance look like for you, and how does Raw Power Games support that?
The company never promotes a crunch work culture; instead, it encourages employees to take breaks when needed.
Since joining RPG, I have never encountered a situation where I was required to work overtime.
Last one! Can you tell us about a special memory you have with RPG?
I have so many great memories since joining RPG, but if I had to choose, I’d say that every on-site gathering is a special memory for me.
We have a dedicated chef and his team who prepare incredibly delicious, high-quality meals for us. As someone who loves spicy food, our chef, Peter, always brings me a different type of spicy sauce whenever I’m on-site. It’s such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that makes me truly happy I am a member of the RPG family.
