Hello James! Thanks for taking your time to talk with us. So let’s get going - What do you do at Raw Power Games?
I lead the gameplay programming team.
Can you share what it is like working at RPG?
It's a fantastic place to work. We get to solve really fun problems with an incredibly talented team of people!
How would you describe the company culture?
Our culture helps ensure we have a trusting, collaborative, and fun environment to work in. The whole company wants to make a great product but at the same time everyone wants this to be the best place they've ever worked and it really shines through when we all get together
What excites you most about the project?
It's a really ambitious project and I'm very excited about bringing a game that will immerse our players and allow them to experience huge medieval battles
What is your favorite part of working as a Lead Gameplay Programmer?
I’m lucky enough to work with some really talented people and I get to help build a team environment where we can all make the best stuff that we can build
What's the best thing about coming to the office?
The people and the food! Everyone is so nice and friendly and the chefs make amazing food every day!
Last one! What does work-life balance look like for you, and how does Raw Power Games support that?
I have 3 kids and a job. In another company this would be tough to balance, but RPG respect your personal time and I am able to dedicate time to my family and work without compromise.
